We are currently recruiting for two Senior Family Workers to join our Disabled Children’s Team.
We want to empower families to be the best they can be, and in this role, you will be a crucial part of our team, improving outcomes for children, young people and their families.
We are looking for exceptional, enthusiastic and organised people to work alongside Social Workers and multi-agency colleagues to provide children and their families with the help and support they need to make positive sustained change.
In this role, you will build longer term relationships with children and their families, hold reviews of the child’s agreed care package and be responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of respite, support and other services to disabled children and their families, as outlined in the care plan following a social worker's assessment of need. You will also evaluate the effectiveness of the package of support in meeting the identified needs and make any recommendation to the Team Manager for a social care re-assessment of need as appropriate.
Experience of direct work with children, young people and their families is essential as well as strong communication and problem-solving skills. Emotional resilience and the ability to have difficult conversations are also crucial to this role.
We will support you to flourish and be the best you can, delivering high-quality services and working closely with professionals from a range of agencies to improve outcomes for children, young people and their families.
