Head of IT required by a market leading professional services organisation with offices across Wales and England, dedicated to providing exceptional services to their clients. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of IT to lead and enhance their IT function. This critical role will lead a team that serves approximately 1000 staff members and will play a pivotal role in managing and evolving IT operations to meet the ever-changing demands of the business.
The Head of IT will lead the implementation of their existing IT strategy and oversee day-to-day IT operations, ensuring the highest standards of service delivery and the safeguarding of the IT infrastructure. Key responsibilities include:
1. Strategy Implementation: Execute and oversee the existing IT strategy, ensuring that IT projects are delivered effectively and aligned with the companies goals.
2. Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of IT professionals across Service Desk, IT Security & Operations, and IT Training. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
3. Service Desk Management: Ensure the IT service desk operates efficiently, providing exceptional support to staff across multiple offices.
4. Service Delivery: Oversee the delivery of IT services, ensuring they meet business needs, comply with SLAs, and continuously improve IT service management practices.
5. Infrastructure and Operations: Lead IT infrastructure initiatives to ensure reliable, robust systems and compliance with regulations. Manage operational risks effectively.
6. IT Training: Lead the IT Training team to deliver high-quality training programs that enhance digital skills across the business, supporting the adoption of new technologies and improving productivity.
7. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to understand IT needs and communicate developments and initiatives effectively.
Skills & Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you should possess the following:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in a senior IT management role, ideally within the professional services sector.
3. Strong understanding of IT service management, IT infrastructure, and operations.
4. Demonstrated experience in implementing IT strategies and leading large-scale IT projects.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of developing high-performing teams.
6. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
