How You'll Make a Difference As a Licensing Support Officer you will be responsible for providing efficient, responsive and high quality technical support to the Environment and Community Services Department, which including Strategic Planning, Safe Strong Communities, Street Care, Resourcing & Support services. What will you be doing? You will provide support to the Licensing department, responding to service and customer requests, queries, or complaints, seeing through queries and advising those involved of actions taken. This is a varied role, working within a very busy, fast paced environment. Due to an increase in the taxi trade, you will primarily be involved with the dealing and processing of taxi applications, appointments, queries and complaints. In addition, you will also undertake the processing of other applications, such as Premises, Personal Licences, Lotteries and Charity collections. You will be dealing with personal, and sometimes sensitive information and will be required to input this data precisely and accurately. What We Need From You You will hold a minimum qualification of NVQ level 3 (or equivalent qualification) including English and Maths, or you will hold equivalent relevant experience in administration or business support. It is essential that you are well organised and able to plan your work. Communication is key in this role, so you must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with service users, professionals and partnership agencies using a variety of media i.e. email, phone, face to face, taking minutes etc. You will demonstrate practical skills and experience in using a range of IT packages with experience in using databases, including running standard reports, analysing data and presenting findings.
