Salary: Starting salary £15 - £17 per hour (depending on level of experience). Occasional weekend work available £21 / £25 per hour. Lucrative monthly bonus awarded dependent on the success of projects circa £3,000 per annum. Keith Hoskins Feed Milling Engineers is a family run business with over 35 years experience within the industry specialising in the manufacture and installation of high quality machinery for use in animal feed mills. Operating out of a large workshop in Crediton, we look after clients all around the area and after minimal staff turnover are seeking to replace a retiring member of our team by recruiting a welder fabricator who can offer experience and fixable solutions to our clients problems. The company's main projects include the manufacture and installation of conveying machinery, bin/silo storage, erection of steelwork and safety gantries and platforms. Each project is bespoke to the client so there is a great deal of varied work for the applicant. This company values its staff and offers a starting salary with a great bonus structure. As an applicant wishing to apply for this position you will need to be able to MIG weld and fabricate to a high standard. The ability to TIG and MMA weld is desirable but not essential. You must also be willing to help with the assembly and erection of projects on site. Your starting salary will depend on level of experience. Some of your duties will include: Undertaking Welding and fabrication for the manufacture of new or repairing replacement machinery, parts and equipment. Fabricate and assemble steel structures and equipment using welders, cutters, drills and measuring tools Be able to weld to high standard in MIG Operating and using various hand and power tools Assembly of new machinery Installation of machinery, steelwork and storage solutions.
Desirable Skills / Experience: Previous experience of working in a heavy engineering / fabrication environment You will need to have high standards of welding / fabrication experience in MIG with ability to read fabrication drawings and follow detailed specifications and instructions. The ability to work to deadlines Able to work flexible working hours to help meet deadlines due to the nature of the business.
Formal Welding or Fabrication qualifications is an advantage but not essential Full driving licence is preferred as company vehicle is provided to travel to and from site.
