Dovehaven Care Homes are Recruiting for a Support Worker to join our team at Callands, Callands Road, Warrington. Working 7am - 7pm OR 7pm- 7am with every other weekend involved, Full & Part time Contract available. Previous experience working in Mental Health REQUIRED Callands is a 30 bed dementia specialist, male only facility. You will be dealing with extremely challenging behavious on a daily basis. Our aim is to ensure all our residents feel as comfortable as possible, our homes promote independence, dignity and respect through positive risk taking and empowerment. About the role: As a Support Worker, you will assist other staff in the running of the Home and maintain high standards of care towards Residents, relatives, visitors & other members of staff. Duties and Responsibilities: Provide assistance, personal care, activities and companionship to residents Be alert to residents’ needs, health and wellbeing Respect the residents’ dignity and privacy Work with residents and their families to deliver tailored care to each individual Assist with mealtimes and safe moving Maintain accurate records for each resident Skills and Experience: Passionate about delivering first-class care Patient, kind and understanding Reliable and respectful Have strong interpersonal skills Be a team player Have the ability to use initiative Previous working experience within a complex care EMI/Dementia Setting Dependable, able to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the needs of this specialist Unit as some of the service users will express acute distressed and or challenging behaviour Experience working in mental health Qualifications: An NVQ level 2 in health & social care is essential along with a dedicated passion for providing exceptional care.
