About the team:
The Societe Generale International Limited (SGIL) Finance Division (DFIN) is in charge of:
* Steering the financial and budgetary strategy of SGIL, and its investment and development policy;
* Managing SGIL scare resources (liquidity and capital).
* Measuring and analysing the profitability of the activities portfolio (clients, businesses, geographies) and the use of all resources (overheads, balance sheet, capital,, etc.);
* Certifying SGIL accounts (accounting quality, valuation methods, orders options, etc., regardless of the production centres, external auditors, regulators, etc.;
* Ensuring the necessary support and the right level of expertise on the subjects of accounting standards, taxation, scarce resources and regulation;
Summary of Key Purposes of the Role:
* This role is responsible for contributing to the change agenda of the production of the Prudential Regulatory Metrics under UK CRR covering COREP, Large Exposures, Leverage, LCR, NSFR PRA110, and ALMM and FINREP reporting.
* Interpret Regulatory changes and assess their impact on reporting requirements and changes and system changes required.
* Collaborate with teams across the Group to enhance processes and controls and systems implementation.
* Following up on outstanding regulatory interpretation topics to ensure adherence with the UK CRR requirements and liaison with Group.
* Further enhancing the control framework to cover the full regulatory reporting perimeter including documentation.
* Provide coverage for colleagues on the production of the metrics as needed.
Responsibilities:
* Contribute to the regulatory change agenda, working with the Head of Regulatory Change to implement new regulatory requirements into the metrics, for example Basle 3.1, and transition into the run BAU processes.
* Work on outstanding normative topics to ensure adherence with the UK CRR requirements and liaison with Group ensuring methodology and process documentation is updated.
* Further enhancing the control framework to cover the full perimeter of Solvency, FINREP and Asset Encumbrance reporting.
* Collaborate with teams across the Group to enhance processes and controls.
* Contribute to closure of issues on the change roadmap audit reviews.
* Contribute to ad-hoc requests from business lines and assess impacts of all new products through NPC.
Bring continuous improvement of the processes within the team, leveraging automation wherever possible
PROFILE REQUIRED
experience in regulatory production and controls framework
* Advanced knowledge of UK CRR – Liquidity, Solvency and FINREP
* Thorough knowledge of balance sheet modelling and impacts upon the regulatory metrics, ability to link the business product sets to the regulatory reporting.
* Strong accounting knowledge
* Good communication skills are required as well as a relationship facility in team works
* This function implies many contacts in an international environment on technical topics which require excellent verbal and written level in English
* Considering the diversity of missions proposed (prudential regulation, functional, systems,…) the objective is to acquire a good knowledge of topics in their entirety;
* A high level of autonomy is expected, after a standard period of learning.
