FINTEC recruit is supporting hiring for a Civil Engineering Design Project Manager. This is a permanent role based in Leicester with salary negotiable by experience up to circa £90,000 plus benefits. Working for a leading Consultancy business across industries such as water, environmental, infrastructure, energy, and more. You will be joining a specialist highways team focusing on managing the design of large highways and infrastructure projects. A broad knowledge of highways design and project management, including design management of large multidisciplinary projects, is required.
Responsibilities
1. Leading and reporting on project design deliverables and outcomes in a client-facing role.
2. Supervising, directing, and reviewing design input from internal staff and external consultants.
3. Mentoring and supporting other team members and junior staff.
4. Attending client and internal meetings to report progress.
5. Budget control for projects and oversight of quality aspects.
Skills and experience required for the Civil Engineering Design Project Manager:
1. Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (HNC/degree) with Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status, or working towards.
2. Experience in highway design, with significant exposure to managing National Highways and Local Authority projects.
3. Knowledge of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) and National Highways' Procedures and Project Control Framework (PCF) Process.
4. Expertise in collaborative design environments, including BIM and 3D modelling for project delivery.
5. Familiarity with design protocols, common data environments, and project management systems.
Able to pass UK Security Clearance.
