More about this role:
As the Social Media & Content Executive, you will play a key role in growing social channels, developing engaging content, and driving brand interaction. You will be responsible for planning and executing creative strategies, including managing branded content, producing compelling visuals, and leveraging sports and betting data to create interactive posts.
Additionally, you will support CRM initiatives, collaborate with the subscription and editorial teams, and take ownership of social media management during evenings and weekends, ensuring continuous audience engagement across all platforms.
You will be responsible for:
* Channel Growth: Contribute to creative strategies aimed at expanding existing social channels while also exploring opportunities to launch new channels and communities to enhance brand reach.
* Branded Content: Collaborate with the Social Media team to identify and develop sponsored content opportunities that align with brand and partner objectives.
* Content Creation & Scheduling: Plan, schedule, and publish posts and stories across multiple platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and X, ensuring compelling and engaging copy tailored to each audience.
* Engaging Visual Content: Produce high-quality photos, videos, and graphics to strengthen brand presence, increase engagement, and enhance the Oddschecker social experience.
* Campaign Planning: Work cross-functionally with internal teams to develop creative campaigns around major sporting events, aligning with company objectives.
* Brand Integrity: Serve as a guardian of the Oddschecker brand, ensuring that all content maintains a consistent message, tone of voice, and visual identity across platforms.
* Community & Channel Management: Execute the social strategy set by the Lead Social Media Manager, with a focus on growing and launching new channels to reach a broader audience.
* Performance Analysis: Track, measure, and analyze social media performance using platforms such as Google Analytics, Sprout Social, or similar tools to optimize content effectiveness.
* Data-Driven Social Content: Leverage football and betting data to create engaging social posts that drive interaction, enhance engagement, and fuel channel growth.
You will be accountable for:
* Evening & Weekend Social Media Management: Take full ownership of social media execution outside of standard office hours.
* After-Hours Content Production & Distribution: Create, schedule, and share engaging social content across all channels during evenings and weekends.
You will be supporting:
* CRM Support: Assist the CRM team with reactive messaging, including push notifications and real-time updates during working shifts.
* Subscription Growth & Retention: Work alongside the subscription team to implement strategies aimed at acquiring and retaining users, ensuring alignment with social media execution.
* Editorial Collaboration: Partner with the editorial team to ensure social content effectively supports their needs and enhances content distribution.
Your Skillset:
* Strong knowledge of major platforms: X (Twitter), Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Youtube.
* Strong copywriting skills tailored for different social platforms.
* Deep understanding of sports and betting markets, particularly football, horse racing, tennis, golf and US sports.
* A strong passion for sports betting culture and the ability to create engaging content that resonates with bettors.
* 1-3 years of experience in social media management or digital marketing.
* Proven track record of growing social media engagement and followers.
