Job Description
We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, highly motivated people to join our team. As a Multi-Sports Coach Modern Apprentice, you will learn on the job and gain an industry-recognised qualification (SVQ Level 3 Youth Work). During this apprenticeship, you will be trained to provide high-quality, fun, engaging, and stimulating physical activity and sport coaching sessions within identified schools, to children and young people of all ages and all abilities. You will also support Active Stirling's Holiday Club and Sports Club programmes. During the course of your apprenticeship, the successful candidate will undertake SVQ Level 3 Youth Work with the Sports Academy of Scotland. Within the role, there is a requirement to attend other training as required by Active Stirling and schools deployed in. Please note, the duration of the apprenticeship is 1 year.
Requirements
The successful applicant(s) must be passionate about physical activity and sport, have good communication skills, be able to talk to others, and possess good organisational skills. They must have an interest in coaching and working with children and young people. The successful candidates will work within a team, so they must have the ability to take feedback and make a positive contribution to a team. Successful candidates must be friendly and approachable with the ability to use their own initiative and be enthusiastic and motivated to use physical activity and sport to have a positive impact on young people's lives.
Responsibilities
Deliver fun and engaging coaching sessions throughout Stirling communities. Coach within a variety of Active Stirling's programmes including the Holiday Club, Sport Club, and events. Support Active Stirling's Employability and Volunteering team, the Active Schools team, and Community Activation team to use physical activity and sport to have a positive impact on people's lives.
