About the job The Project Engineer will be be responsible for leading the delivery of projects from an engineering perspective in the railway and energy sectors for power systems, equipment, and infrastructure. Your expertise will contribute to the successful execution of projects and the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions. You will be the bridge between engineering design and operations delivery providing leadership, direction, technical support and solutions. This role allows a level of freedom to make the role your own and a chance to work across a varied range of projects. Responsibilities: Support the delivery and review of conceptual designs, detail designs, manufacturing specifications, operational documentation and validation evidence for electrical engineering solutions in relation to defined requirements. Work closely with technical and delivery teams to ensure standards, regulations and legislation are fully complied with. Coordinate the maintenance of ‘approved for construction’ drawings and any changes to designs are updated on site and fully briefed. Contribute to construction configuration baselines. Deliver high-quality technical reports and presentations. Identify and support opportunities for cost savings, efficiency and business improvement. Representing Integrum, ensuring all enquiries from our customers, suppliers and stakeholders are handled in the appropriate manner and a positive image of the company is always maintained. Ensure all safety, quality, technical and commercial requirements are met. Support the full lifecycle from leading engagement with new and existing clients and supporting winning of new works, to design delivery and handover at practical completion with a target of safe by design. What you will need to be successful: Educated to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline with, ideally, Incorporated Engineer status. Have experience working in, the railway and energy industry, preferably in a multi-disciplinary development and production environment, creating bespoke solutions, using both digital and analogue technologies. Demonstrate a working knowledge of the DNO Industry Best Practice is desirable. Have the soft skills and experience to motivate teams, coach team members. Experience of project engineering in the railway and renewable energy sectors and associated knowledge and expertise in technical standards and engineering solutions. Ability to support in the quotation of new works using estimating software. Experience leading project delivery processes and production of associated documentation, including ITP’s hazard identification, risk assessments and method statements. Thorough understanding of both LV and HV design work/project engineering within a contracting environment. Outstanding self-reliance, resourcefulness and initiative, flexible approach and excellent time management. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet project deadlines.
