44 hours per week (ideally covered by 2 PAs)
Regular shifts Monday-Friday 3-6hrs / day, and potentially Saturday and Sunday 4-6 hours / day.
KCIL is looking for a PAYE PA to assist 15-year-old girl with multiple complex needs with care. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, interactive, warm and shows willingness to learn.
Duties would include personal care, giving medicine, dressing, PEG feeding, packing ETY’s bag to school. Manual handling training, PEG feeding and hoist experience is preferred, but training can be given to the right person.
The evening shifts will be between 4pm to 7pm or 4pm to 10 pm from Monday to Friday depending on the experience and suitability of the carer.
At 5pm is feeding time (half blended food is given via syringe and the other half is formula), once she’s rested then it’s time for personal care. Medications are given at 7pm. EYU has no formal method of communication so the ideal PA needs to show initiative in finding a connection with EYU and learning about her habits and needs. Creativity in keeping the child occupied is something the ideal PA will be able to provide. We are looking for someone who can make EYU smile and keep her safe and well looked after.
The weekend shifts would be 4-6 hours (days to arrange with the family) and it may include going out.
