Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our service with the newly developed school team who will be providing S< input to C&YP. The post will involve supporting children who have identified speech, language and communication needs as part of their Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP'S). As part of this role you will be working in partnership with education and other professionals and parents/carers to provide therapy support. Working primarily within schools, early years and educational settings delivering S< interventions. Main duties of the job Independently plan and implement therapy programmes for specific areas of speech, language and communication work, this will include educating school staff, parents and other health care professionals by demonstrating, coaching, training and modelling the SLT approaches. Complete routine interventions with supervision from the SLT as required e.g. delegated intervention with new clients, observation and informal assessment through play and interaction, advice, coaching and teaching to parents/carers and school staff. To autonomously plan and carry out SLT interventions for children working in different educational locations across the county. Support new staff through the induction process and offer ongoing mentoring and training where appropriate to colleagues.
