Step Teachers is collaborating with a Secondary school located in a market town on A11 between Norwich and Thetford which is looking for a Food Technology Teacher to start in January 2025.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards for food technology.
* Instruct students in the principles and practices of food technology, including food preparation, nutrition, and safety.
* Assess student progress, provide feedback, and support individual learning needs.
* Maintain an organized and well-equipped food technology laboratory.
* Collaborate with colleagues to integrate food technology into broader educational initiatives.
* Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with advancements in food technology education.
Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Bachelor’s degree in food technology, or a related field.
* Demonstrated experience in teaching food technology at the secondary school level.
* Strong knowledge of food technology principles and practices.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Passion for teaching and inspiring students in the field of food technology.
* Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Commitment to ongoing professional growth in food technology education.
* Proficiency in using technology to enhance teaching and learning in food technology.
* Creative and innovative approach to teaching food technology.
