The Vacancy:
Purpose of the role:
Management and Execution of Measurement Systems and Analysis.
Duties and responsibilities:
* Responsible for Performing and Maintaining detailed records of Inspection Plans, ISIRS, and FAIRS.
* Responsible for Improving and developing methods and systems of enhanced measurement to aid production and reduce machine downtime.
* Developing Measurement Policies to reduce scrap in the machine shop.
* Participating in product Design Reviews to promote repeatability and reliability for production.
* Conducting capability studies / gage R&R as directed.
* Managing Quality projects to increase the effectiveness of Amphenol Ltd’s Quality System.
* Conduct Customer Eyes Overcheck CEO for RR Product when required.
* Conducting Internal Audits as required to AS9100 standard.
* Carrying out such other duties that may be reasonably requested.
Person Specification:
Qualifications:
* Working Knowledge of Metrology with a background in Quality Engineering.
Experience:
* Able to understand and read engineering drawings.
* Excellent knowledge of Quality Systems.
* Ability to Maintain Detailed Quality records.
Technical Knowledge:
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Applied Working Knowledge and use of basic Metrology tools, Imperial and Metric.
* PC literate including Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Understanding manufacturing processes and tolerances.
* Ability to clearly communicate technical information to technical and non-technical colleagues.
* Accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to work unsupervised and meet deadlines under pressure.
* Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
* Self-Motivated, with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
Experience:
* Experience with Co-ordinate Measurement Machine (CMM).
* Experience with Optical Measurement Systems.
* Internal Auditor to AS9100D.
Technical Knowledge:
* Familiarity with a wide range of materials, primarily Plastics, Rubber, and Metals and their method of inspection.
* Experience with First Article Inspection to AS9102.
