Reference 82174 Cook Oaklands Village, Swadlincote £25,272.00 per annum 40 hours per week About the role We are currently looking to recruit a permanent Cook for our purpose built extra care scheme based in Swadlincote. The scheme caters for the needs of people aged 55 and aims to help them live life to the full. You will be joining a well-established team within an assisted living complex that caters for both residents and external customers via our busy Bar/ Bistro. We are looking for someone with passion for quality, local produce; an eye for presentation; be able to assist management with seasonal menu planning; have the confidence to run the kitchen and manage a back of house team/ waiting team appropriately, and be able to undertake food preparation as well as manage service. Excellent Customer Service -delivering superior customer service to all guests Knowledge of maintaining a food costs and expenditure Ensure all managers and team members reach their full potential Good Communication skills Hands On Approach Experience of working in a busy commercial kitchen Establish and organize rotas in the kitchen Excellent time management skills The role will involve working 40 hours per week on a rota basis which will include early shifts, straight day shifts, late shifts and some weekends.
