What skills and experience we're looking for
Netherthorpe School are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our English and Media team. This is a permanent, full-time role. You will be part of a dedicated and supportive team and a school that strives to develop every member of staff.
The post is suitable for ECT teachers or more experienced individuals. The ability to teach to A level is desirable but not essential. What is crucial is that you are genuinely enthusiastic about your subject and have the highest expectations for your students.
The English department is an established and well-experienced team currently made of four full time members of staff and six part time members.
The team include staff with responsibilities for whole school Oracy and an associate staff team including a reading intervention tutor and reading engagement lead.
We continue to be committed as a school to focusing on the development, implementation and embedding of literacy across the curriculum.
