Fairway Hydraulics Ltd, a family-run business with 50 years of continuous success, specialises in manufacturing and supplying hydraulic systems and components to industries like Rail, Marine, and Ground support.
Immediate requirement for an experienced full-time Mechanical Fitter to support a small manufacturer of special-purpose machinery/equipment.
The role will consist of assembling and fitting parts/ sub-assemblies, which are subsequently mounted on a main hydraulic machine frame. This will entail marking out, drilling and some remedial work.
The ideal candidate will be trained, holding a suitable, relevant qualification, whilst being able to display proven experience from similar positions.
The successful applicant must be able to:
· Read and interpret engineering drawings
· Modify or adjust parts as required (machining ability advantageous)
· Competently use hand and power tools, test equipment and measuring instruments
· Inspect and check fitted parts and sub-assemblies
· Able to complete standard engineering calculations
Mechanical Fitter (Hydraulic Engineering)
Location; Rushock, Droitwich, Worcestershire
Salary ; £35-40k/annum

Within this workshop-based position, you will be tasked to service, repair, assemble, inspect, and commission Hydraulic equipment to be supplied to a wide range of industries.

The Position-
· Mechanical Fitter
· £35-40k (depending upon experience) + Training + 23 days holiday + 8 Bank holidays
· 39-hour week contract
· Assemble, repair, maintenance and fitting of Hydraulic components and equipment
· Liaising with the Directors to ensure all processes are clearly explained and efficient
The Ideal Person will-
· Have strong mechanical and hydraulic engineering experience
· Have a background in mechanical fitting and engineering
· Be enthusiastic and willing to adapt in the work environment
· Have previous experience in the engineering industry
· Be willing to take on responsibility and communicate efficiently with colleagues, be open, well-mannered, approachable, flexible, and work well under occasional pressure
· Be highly motivated, with the drive and commitment to deliver with quality, and work to deadlines with a level head and pleasant demeanour
