About the role:
BYD UK is looking for a Sales Operations Manager to work in our team based in the London area. This role reports to the UK NSC Country Manager and works with Sales, Network, and KA departments. The Sales Operations Manager will manage a team of 2-3 direct reports.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Lead the Sales Ops team to ensure the implementation of the sales strategy.
* Clearly communicate the sales strategy and assist regions/functions with implementation.
* Lead the exercise of reviewing sales performance (i.e., retail sales, market share, fleet sales) and Quality of Sales. Provide direction and insights to your team to assist them in providing the most beneficial evaluation.
* Provide input to the Country Manager in the development of national standards & guidelines. Lead the deployment of these standards & guidelines to the regions and advise regions on implementation.
* Lead the analytical exercise of preparing business reports and providing insights to support optimal decision-making by top management.
* Assess risk & opportunity of regional sales performance to ensure optimal performance.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
* Minimum 5 years relevant experience in the automotive industry (ideally in passenger cars).
* Advanced knowledge of the automotive industry in the UK market.
* Leadership ability to lead a diverse, multi-cultural team to achieve multiple objectives.
* Strong executive presence, with experience making executive-level presentations.
* Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
* Result-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving targets and expanding market presence.
* Able to travel within the UK on a frequent basis and hold a valid driver's license; some international travel may be required occasionally.
* Has the right to work in the UK.
