Crisis Response is accessed by dialling 111. Callers are directed to select Mental Health option 2 which will take them directly to EPUT Crisis Response service which will assess their needs. This team has been operational since July 2020. There are on average about 100 referrals to the team in a month and most of these are dealt with by the members of the team. The number of cases that require medical inputs have varied between 10-15 a week. The Early Intervention in Psychosis is a very well established service, it covers the North East Essex locality and cares for anyone over the age of 14 through to 65. North East Essex comprises of the boroughs of Colchester and Tendring. The core objective of the service is to deliver a standalone EIP model in line with a new EPUT community model of care which sets out to work with key partners in both statutory and the voluntary sectors to create more healthy and resilient communities, whilst maximising opportunities to provide care closer to home. The post holder will be expected to work closely with staff in both services to ensure the provision of a safe and effective service. You must have full GMC registration and be on the Specialist Register, with an appropriate CCT or equivalent or be within six months of obtaining your CCT on the date of the AAC.
