Paraplanner Who do you report to? You’ll be reporting to the Senior Paraplanner and, ultimately, to our Executive Director, Joe. Who reports directly to you? Your 'why' is about more than just managing tasks; it's about working with purpose and thriving in your role, ensuring every action you take, contributes to our overarching goal: to change lives for the better, including yours Key Responsibilities: - Writing financial planning and suitability reports and letters using the appropriate research tools, ensuring the best client outcomes. - Ensuring that the client file including Fact Find, Adviser meeting notes and product information is fully and comprehensively complete. - Ensuring that client files, suitability reports and letters are fully compliant and technically accurate, liaising regularly with internal and external compliance support. - Obtaining illustrations, information and valuations from product providers as required. - Completing and checking tax calculations where necessary. - Ensuring business is submitted to providers, promptly, accurately and within the agreed timescales. - Providing support and training to educate and guide other staff members where required. - Assisting with research required by IFP’s Proposition Team. - Ensuring processes and workflows are followed in line with IFP standards. - Maintain your daily task organiser, planning your workload, ensuring deadlines are met. - Deliver an efficient, friendly, and professional service for all clients, providers, professional partners, and visitors. - Work in line with IFP’s CPD scheme and T&C scheme. Skills & Experience Required: - Achieved CII Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (essential). - Working towards CII Level 6 Chartered Financial Planner (desirable). - Minimum 1 year experience in a paraplanning role. - Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 programmes and, desirably, Intelligent Office. - Excellent organisation skills, with an ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Good grasp of English language and Mathematical concepts. - Takes personal responsibility for consistently delivering high quality work with an excellent level of attention to detail.
