WHAT IS ON OFFER
Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Group Laboratory Regional Coordinator to join our team. This role will support the continuous improvement and delivery of the AHK Quality and Technical approach in Group Laboratory operations focused on metals and minerals analysis.
You will be working closely with each Laboratory team to ensure that all laboratories within the region are supported and coordinated to meet the AHK laboratory expectations. This framework is coordinated across all regions and it is the Regional Coordinator’s purpose to enable this delivery and act as a conduit to HQ.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Essential
1. Experience using Microsoft Office and Google suite of applications.
2. Effective interpersonal skills across multiple global locations.
3. Functional knowledge and understanding of QMS practice within a laboratory setting.
4. Functional knowledge of and understanding of the requirements pertaining to ISO 17025 & ISO 9001 and other relevant quality management standards.
5. Functional knowledge and understanding of accreditation requirements.
Required Competencies
1. Ability to work with minimum supervision.
2. Effective interpersonal skills across multiple global locations.
3. Good timekeeping.
4. Ability to demonstrate literacy and be numerate.

8. Good level of computer literacy.
Required Work Experience
1. Proven experience of several years (minimum 3 years) in a laboratory position, preferably in a commercial laboratory.
2. Experience in supporting QMS requirements in relation to ISO 17025 accreditation and ISO 9001 certification.
3. Desirable but not essential: experience of the metals and minerals industries, including basic chemistry knowledge and laboratory skills.
Required Qualifications
1. A good general education (ideally including Maths, English, and Science/Chemistry).
2. Desirable but not essential: HNC/BSc or equivalent in a relevant subject, or prior laboratory/quality experience.
3. Desirable but not essential: trained in ISO 9001 and/or ISO 17025 internal audits.
