This is an externally funded project which is part of a national pilot to improve the management of sudden cardiac death families. This role is an exciting opportunity to help lead on our regional Inherited Cardiac Conditions (ICC) working closely with the British Heart Foundation (BHF) and Genomic Medicine Service Alliance (GMSA). The role is a 12-month fixed term position and ongoing funding will be explored. The post will involve working with pathologists, coroners, and Intensive care units when patients with aborted sudden cardiac death tend to be cared for., As post holder, your duties will include:
* Co-ordinate pathways with both internal and external stake holders to design pathways
* To work closely with the external evaluation of the pilot
* To work closely with coroners, coroners' officers and intensive care teams to ensure appropriate sample collect, storage and transport, and liaison with clinical services to deliver a standardizes and holistic pathway for at risk families.
