We are currently seeking a talented and driven Project Manager to join a newly developed team in Manchester to lead the delivery of a prestigious new University/NHS combined project.
The Project:
This landmark project will see the creation of a state-of-the-art facility that will transform healthcare education and delivery in the region. The project will involve the construction of a new teaching hospital, research laboratories, and student accommodation.
The Role:
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of this complex project from inception to completion. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, manage the project budget and programme, and ensure that all works are carried out to the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement the project programme and budget.
Lead the project team and manage all stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
Manage the procurement process and appoint subcontractors.
Monitor progress against the programme and budget and take corrective action as necessary.
Resolve any issues that may arise during the project.
Ensure that the project is delivered on time and within budget.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry.
Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong leadership and management skills.
Experience of working on complex projects.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations.Desirable Skills and Experience:
Experience of working on healthcare projects.
Membership of a relevant professional body.
Experience of using project management software.
