What’s the purpose of the role:
This newly created role will be pivotal in the continued improvement of the effectiveness of the dnata UK finance team. The key purpose of this role is to create and lead on financial modelling and analysis, supporting the finance team and the wider business, including profitability analysis, variance monitoring and identification of levers for growth via flexible and intuitive insights. The role will continuously improve the quality of reporting, and efficiency of process across the finance teams, adding value through engagement with stakeholders across the organization.
Who you’ll deal with:
Internal: Finance team members of all levels (from CFO to finance admin), IS/IT team, in particular systems owners, broader operational & functional teams as appropriate, head office / group functions (Dubai based).
External: Software providers.
What you’ll be doing:
* Work directly with FP&A team on various planning exercises, such as forecasting, budgets, profitability analysis, and reporting.
* Develop and maintain a reporting suite across multiple areas, monitoring and highlighting business performance, providing business leaders with insights into risks and opportunities.
* Maintain data integrity across the organisation on key financial measures and help develop a golden source and a coherent version of data for reporting.
* Support Finance Director by liaising with internal systems team to work on automation of regular reports.
* Support Finance Director with data models which analyse volume/pricing variances to review with commercial team.
* Take stock of group requirements and align their data needs with local monthly, quarterly, annual reporting.
* Coordinate data requirements and timelines (especially around budgeting/forecasting cycles) with senior stakeholders to ensure achievement of relevant deadlines.
* Uphold standards through consolidation of quarterly reporting packages and thorough internal analysis of financial data.

What you’ll possess for this role covering Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience working as a financial analyst.
* Proficiency with financial software and tools (advanced excel is a must).
* Knowledge of statistical analysis processes and packages.
* Outstanding communication, reporting, and presentation skills.
* Proficient in data visualisation and modelling.
* Experienced in analysing large volumes of data.
* Experience in financial forecasting and trend analytics.
* Experience with SAP/Power BI.
* Familiarity with accounting, tax, and e-commerce legislation.
* Experience with retail, logistics and stock.
* Measurable ability in financial planning and strategy.
