Job Description
Our client - One of the leading defense companies in the UK is looking for a Project Manager - Delivery to join their team on a contract basis.
The Role:
1. Managing product management and planning of contracts for the David Brown Team.
2. Planning improvement activities.
3. Experience of leading improvement activities.
4. Identifying key performance metrics.
5. Coordinating and leading daily governance of the day-to-day work.
6. Overseeing the product leads' activities.
7. Looking more broadly across how the gearbox is performing.
8. Creating a baseline plan and applying project management principles including budgets and what is being achieved.
9. Comfortable discussing commercial and financial issues.
10. Accountable for the budget, performance, and results of the team.
11. Ensuring essential procedures are followed based on own knowledge of Project Management.
Skills:
1. Working within an experienced product environment.
2. Experienced professional with extensive knowledge of Project Management (tools, techniques, practices) and basic knowledge of other functions such as Commercial & Finance.
3. Able to resolve and guide others in solving complex project-related issues, while following established procedures.
4. Extensive understanding of the business environment for own project and team.
5. Recognized as an experienced Project Management practitioner.
