Job Description
Qualified Social Worker, Cheshire West Council, Childrens Fostering Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team.
The team works extremely well together to ensure the safety of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager.
The responsibilities will include:
1. Safeguard and promote the welfare of Cheshire West and Chester’s Children by delivering a high quality service, keeping Children’s wellbeing and safety at the heart of your approach.
2. Successful candidate will be required to have post qualifying experience in child care social work, preferably with direct experience of fostering work; they will join our enthusiastic, experienced and motivated Mainstream Fostering Team as we continue to develop our fostering service.
3. Knowledge of current child protection policies and procedures is essential, as is experience of working with children and families.
4. Involved in recruitment, training and completing assessments of foster carers that are robust and completed in a timely manner in order to ensure we continue to offer stability in placement and secure high quality provision for our children.
5. Post requires a Social Work qualification, extensive knowledge of legislation underpinning delivery of social care including fostering regulations and standards.
6. 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation).
7. 3 month Temporary Contract.
8. Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance.
