Humanities & RE Teacher
We are seeking an enthusiastic, engaging and reflective qualified teacher with vision and energy to join our exceptional staff team. The successful applicant will be a first-rate teacher, creative and compassionate, who will be able to teach, as well as to oversee the pastoral care of the classes they teach. Contribution to the co-curricular programme, plus cover and duties are essential as is the willingness to embrace the busy life of our progressive and happy school.
The role reports to the Senior Deputy Head. The successful applicant will collaborate with Senior Prep colleagues, the Primary Years team, and fully support the philosophy of the IB and PSB.
In Years 7 and 8, students have three 50-minute lessons of humanities each week. The new incumbent has the opportunity to develop the Religious Studies, Ethics and Philosophy Curriculum for Years 7 and 8. Additionally there is time allocated to support Years 4-6 class teachers in lessons and undertake the role as a PSB academic tutor.
All teachers are expected to take on co-curricular activities, duties and cover as required by the Deputy Heads, and the successful applicant will ensure the Individual & Societies department is kept in good order, adhering to health and safety standards.
