We’re looking for an inspiring and experienced In Service Support Lead to provide technical leadership to a team of engineers, dedicated to supporting the existing in-service fleet in addition to ownership of the safety case for all our existing lifesaving assets. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance to relevant maritime technical standards and policies in addition to creation and execution of small-scale modifications for existing assets. This new role will form a part of our Engineering and Supply (ES) Department Senior Leadership Team. The ES Department design, build, supply, support and maintain the RNLI’s buildings, boats and equipment to help save lives and keep our people safe. Together, their vision is to deliver trusted, sustainable solutions to bring our people home safely. This will be achieved by empowering people to be the best they can be and embracing data, innovative thinking and technology to continually improve reliability, safety and availability. About You We are looking for someone with excellent, proven experience in a similar role, ideally from a marine or engineering environment. To be considered as our In Service Support Lead you will also need to be able to demonstrate: Significant experience of managing Engineering/Technical teams, introducing appropriate processes, structures and measures of success. Significant experience in driving improvement and delivering results against clear and measurable targets and standards. Experience of leading, managing, developing and/or motivating multi-disciplinary teams and collaborating across a variety of stakeholders. Experience of change leadership and delivering programmes / projects across a diverse range of stakeholder Relevant Chartered Engineer (CEng or above), Engineering Degree Finally, it goes without saying that you will share our passion for saving lives.
