The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for providing support to the Store Manager and the store teams for execution of all operational directives. This is accomplished through ensuring optimal customer experiences, maximizing sales, expense and cost management, store presentation, and protection of company assets.
What you’ll do
Leadership:
1. Continually motivates team and performance through recognition programs, store contests, customer compliments, etc
2. Provide mentorship to teams and influence continuous growth, exemplifying our leadership brand
3. Communicate in a clear and concise manner to team, leading effective huddles / meetings / coaching sessions, keeping team well informed of pertinent information
4. Develop and lead recruiting and hiring strategy for store, maintain a complete team
Operations:
5. Demonstrate and follow up on execution of PartSource visual compliance standards, store maintenance and pricing standards
6. Responsibility to deliver annual corporate shrink targets through team education, enforcement of LP and audit standards and rigid inventory control
7. Ensure processes and systems are followed for the execution of tech shop service programs, including maintenance and compliance standards
8. Create and / or monitors the creation of efficient store weekly scheduling for both sales and support functions
9. Provides support as required for overall Store and equipment maintenance and compliance for PS fleet, using FOS fleet management maintenance system, driver compliance, and appropriate certifications for all roles
10. Executes and or delegates delivery of planograms, and merchandising directives
11. Ensures accurate execution and completes daily review of shipping /receiving/ returns processing and documentation according to company policies
12. Provides support as required for overall Store and equipment maintenance and compliance for PS fleet, using FOS fleet management maintenance system, driver compliance, and appropriate certifications for all roles
Customer Service:
13. An ambassador and leader of the customer experience you look to develop relationships with customers and provide mentorship and coaching to your team to ensure the same
14. Supports the commercial sales team by providing customer service support
15. Ensures and leads execution of the customer experience, and provides resolution for all customer concerns
Training:
16. Coach and develop store and management team, through setting expectations, communication, coaching, feedback and ongoing support
17. Create development plans and conduct annual appraisals for management team; to improve any performance gaps
18. Complete and hold team accountable to complete required training within timeframes
19. Able to work retail hours including scheduled evenings, weekends and holidays

What you bring
23. Minimum of 4 years of experience in a retail environment with 12- 24 months in a leadership role
24. Fundamental computer skills an asset
25. Passion for automotive or automotive enthusiasts
26. Strong knowledge of automotive parts aftermarket industry
27. A good base of knowledge of automotive operating systems including point of sale
28. Possession of a valid driver's license is an asset
29. Automotive Training or Certification is an asset
