Job Description
A school in Kent is looking for a passionate and experienced Nursery Nurse to join a fantastic and inclusive school in Sidcup to work with early years (EYFS) students with severe learning difficulties and ASD. You will provide one-on-one support, helping students engage with their learning and develop independence through play-based learning. If you have patience, creativity, and a desire to make a real impact in the lives of these pupils, we would love to hear from you!
The successful Nursery Nurse applicant will have the opportunity to work as part of a large special needs school in Sidcup that caters to students aged 4-19, where your energy and experience will be valued as you contribute to meeting the varied needs of its students.
As a Nursery Nurse, you will enjoy a high degree of job satisfaction as you apply your skills to working with EYFS students who need support building their independence through play and art therapy.

Based in Sidcup, this fantastic SEN school is large, friendly, and well-respected in the local community. The school is well-run and has numerous facilities to promote play-based learning for EYFS students. Pupils from Sidcup and the surrounding areas in London are offered a broad and balanced curriculum tailored to their learning difficulties. Support and training are offered every week to further develop your knowledge and skills as a teaching assistant for children with varied needs. You will work with skilled teachers and other Nursery Nurses in a classroom environment.
Responsibilities
1. Work with class teachers to raise the learning of pupils.
2. Promote pupils' independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion.
3. Provide support to pupils, individually or in groups, to access the curriculum and experience a sense of achievement.
4. Assist with planning, preparation, and resourcing for lessons that promote play-based learning.
5. Encourage participation of all pupils in learning and extracurricular activities.
6. Use effective behaviour management strategies in line with the school's policy.
7. Organise and manage teaching space and resources to maintain a stimulating and safe learning environment.
8. Support with personal care when needed with other staff members.
Applicant Requirements
The ideal Nursery Nurse applicant will have the following qualities:

11. EYPS qualification desirable but not essential.
