Design Engineering Compliance Verification Engineer
Expleo is looking for an experienced Design CVE. As an Aerospace Mechanical Engineer – CVE, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our mechanical systems and structures comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards. You will be responsible for verifying designs, supporting certification processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain compliance with aviation regulations such as EASA Part 21J and other relevant standards.
Responsibilities
* Act as a Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) for mechanical and structural systems.
* Review and approve mechanical and structural design solutions for compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Ensure all documentation and reports adhere to industry and certification standards.
* Work closely with design, stress, and manufacturing teams to verify compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
* Interface with aviation regulatory authorities, certification bodies, and customers to support compliance efforts.
* Conduct risk assessments and provide technical guidance on certification-related matters.
* Support internal and external audits to maintain certification approvals.
* Stay updated with regulatory changes and contribute to process improvements in compliance verification.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Essential skills
* Proven experience in aerospace mechanical engineering with a focus on compliance verification.
* Design Organisation Approval (DOA) experience, preferably within an EASA Part 21J environment.
* Strong knowledge of aerospace materials, structural integrity, and mechanical system design.
* Previous experience acting as a CVE or a willingness to attain CVE approval.
* Familiarity with industry regulations such as EASA CS-23/25/27/29, FARs, and other certification standards.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Desired skills
* Experience working with CAD and FEA tools for mechanical/structural analysis.
* Knowledge of aircraft modifications, repair processes, and airworthiness compliance.
* Understanding of safety assessments and risk analysis methodologies.
