Reporting to the Head of Operations, this role is leadership position to ensure the Value Streams provide a world class manufacturing service in a way that is consistent with recognised lean principles. You will manage and oversee all manufacturing operations within your area. You will be responsible for driving productivity and customer service improvements without compromise to health and safety or quality.
This role will be accountable for identifying gaps in performance; route cause and solutions to prevent reoccurrence. You will utilise your own skills and those of your team to improve processes and procedures in your area which have a significant impact on the bottom line of the business.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITES:
Ø To lead, motivate engage and coach the team.
Ø Be an advocate for health and safety/environmental matters ensuring risks are minimised and preventative actions are in place.
Ø Ensure quality of product is of the highest level and where defects are identified work closely with the teams to ensure preventative actions are taken.
Ø Lead communication with your area including Tier 1 meetings.
Ø Provide clear expectations to direct reports and ensure they have the resources, training and developmental opportunities including timely and meaningful appraisals to ensure motivation and effective performance.
Ø Manage team performance and any potential conflict, ensuring issues are dealt with promptly and consistently, liaising with HR.
Ø Manage resource and labour within your area to ensure production is not compromised.
Ø Compile figures for reporting and attend all relevant meetings, escalating any issues in a timely manner.
Ø Work with cross functional departments to ensure targets for efficiency, costs and on time delivery are met.
Ø Ensure policies and processes are followed with a fair and consistent approach.
Ø Ensure all actions are in line with Leadership Competencies and Core Values.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
