As the global demand for efficient, reliable, and sustainable energy systems continues to grow, innovation in Electrical Power Systems, Electrical Machines, and Power Electronics becomes increasingly critical. To support this mission, we are inviting applications for the position of Senior Lecturer in Electrical Engineering, specialising in Electrical Power Systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, contributing to both teaching and research. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas: Electrical Power Systems: Distributed Systems, Power Flow Optimisation, System Reliability, and Energy Demand Management Energy Management & Control: Smart Grids, Microgrids, and Energy Storage Systems (e.g., Batteries) Electrical Machines and Transformers: Design, Modelling, Control, and Analysis Power Electronics: Power Converters, Drives, and Integration of Renewable Energy Sources System Resilience & Optimisation: Energy System Modelling, Fault Tolerance, and System Security. For this role we will consider applicants with an excellent first degree and PhD in the subject field, experience in CDIO implementation or project-based delivery, has contributed to high-quality publications or other relevant outputs in research or leading-edge industrial experience, proven post-graduate level mathematical and analysis skills and associated computational simulation, use of Matlab/Simulink or other software and eligible for Fellow or Senior Fellow status under the Higher Education Academy’s Professional Standards Framework (FHEA / SFHEA).
