Job Role : Production Planner
Location: Caerphilly
Position: Full-Time (Monday – Friday)
Salary: £32,000 - £38,000 per annum

I am working with a leading provider in the food sector, committed to delivering high-quality products while ensuring excellent service. They are looking for a dedicated and dynamic Production Planner to join their team and contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of their manufacturing and customer service processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strive for 100% service level across the customer base, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
* Maximise stock levels to ensure service levels while minimizing waste.
* Establish, maintain, and encourage positive relationships with customer supply chain partners.
* Maintain a flexible working pattern that aligns with the demands of the business.
* Develop and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) related to service levels across the business.
* Actively participate in and drive the implementation of manufacturing systems to improve efficiency.
* Ensure all scheduling activities optimise production line performance and enhance business profitability.
* Proactively identify and drive system improvements where possible.
Main Duties:
* Obtain and utilise the latest customer forecasts to drive planning.
* Participate in customer contact conference calls, providing valuable insights and updates.
* Monitor all work-in-progress (WIP) and on-site finished goods stocks.
* Monitor finished goods stocks in third-party consolidators to ensure availability.
* Produce accurate demand plans to meet service level requirements.
* Receive and interpret customer orders to generate demand plans
* Regularly review manufacturing progress, addressing any issues as they arise.
* Effectively communicate all planning activities to the business.
* Advise customer supply chain teams of any potential supply issues.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain management, preferably in the food industry.
* Strong understanding of service level agreements (SLAs), stock management, and forecasting.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to think proactively and make improvements to systems and processes.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Flexibility to adapt to the evolving demands of the business.
