Pyramid8 are supporting an Electrical Equipment Recycling specialist to recruit a Transport Administrator to join their team. This is a brand new role due to growth in the business and the role of the administrator will be varied and will have the opportunity to grow and develop.
We are looking for an experienced administrator, ideally you will be from a transport background. You will work as part of a small friendly team and be able to plan and prioritise your work but also be willing to support other when needed.
First point of contact for the site including:
1. Deliveries
2. Transport enquiries
3. answering phone, customer enquiries
4. liaising with internal and external parties
5. build and maintain strong working relationships with maintenance, material, training and any other relevant departments
Administrative tasks include:
6. updating and maintaining logistics compliance spreadsheets
7. report any issues directly to the transport manager/planner as soon as they arise
8. data inputting
9. Office organisation
10. be proficient in the company's logistics management system
11. Control of relevant documentation for logistics orders, including filing and scanning of P.O's and invoices
12. Print out daily defects
13. be a strong support to assist the transport planner/manager in any daily duties and ongoing projects
Assist/cover transport planner
14. Accurate generation of waste transfer notes and accompanying paperwork
15. Monitoring an inbox
16. Dealing with customer enquiries via telephone and email in a professional manner
17. Be able to deal with/manage drivers
18. Make sure yard is organised/vehicles prepared for the following day
19. Maintain training matrix
20. Maintain driver eyesight checks
Requirements
21. Transport/administration background desirable
22. Good attention to detail
23. Good IT and Microsoft Office skills
24. Able to meet tight deadlines
