Role Summary
As part of the Connect44 Group Assurance Function, the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager will support wider compliance activities across the group.
Key Responsibilities
* Support pre-sales activities related to EHS management, such as RFI/RFPs.
* Maintain and enhance existing EHS management systems to support telecommunications field engineering activities, including mobile rollout and site maintenance.
* Ensure ongoing compliance with accreditation standards such as SafeContractor, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001.
* Work closely with UK operational teams to ensure EHS compliance across all activities.
* Develop frameworks to monitor and report on EHS compliance.
* Drive continuous improvement of EHS management systems.
* Conduct on-site audits, potentially involving nationwide travel.
* Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses for EHS-related events, implementing corrective actions and sharing lessons learned.
* Identify, assess, and mitigate EHS risks across projects and office environments.
* Coordinate and deliver EHS training and awareness initiatives, especially for field engineers.
* Stay updated on relevant EHS legislation and best practices, advising stakeholders accordingly.
* Knowledge of EcoVadis and CDP is advantageous.
Qualifications and Training
* NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management.
* NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety.
Experience
* Minimum of 8 years’ experience in various industries in a health and safety management role.
* Experience managing ISO management systems.
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
