Playground Games is looking for a Financial Accountant to join our Finance Team.

About the Role:
Working closely with the Finance Director, and wider Finance team, in a fast-paced environment, to deliver effective financial processes within the Company and Parent Company standards and timeframes. The role involves engaging with a range of internal teams, disciplines and external stakeholders and requires the ability to work to deadlines and high levels of accuracy.
What You'll Do:
Finance
- Support the Month End processes including;
1. Supporting month end reconciliations
2. Processing of journals
3. Completion of month end packs
4. Ensuring organised records are maintained
5. Updating forecasts
6. Assistance with the preparation of the monthly finance review
- Preparation of relevant information as required by the Year End Audit process including;
7. Maintaining all records in line with audit requirements
8. Providing accurate and timely information to auditors
9. Working with external advisors to prepare statutory accounts
- Company taxes – maintaining appropriate records and preparing returns/providing assistance to company advisors in preparation of returns, in support of the following;
10. Corporation tax
11. VGTR
12. VAT
13. PSA
14. ERS
- Provide efficient finance assistance with the companies budgeting process
- Assist with ad-hoc reports, projects, queries and reconciliations as and when requested
- Support the purchase processes as and when necessary
Procurement
- Provide effective support to deliver an efficient Procurement function that meets the needs of the Company including;
15. Accurately generating NDAs
16. Drafting Master Supplier Services Agreements
17. Drafting Statements of Work
- Maintain key administrative Procurement systems ensuring records are kept up to date and effectively track procurement activity including:
18. Requesting spend approval for Statements of Works
19. Issuing of contracts for signature
20. Tracking of contracts
21. Storing of signed contracts
22. Requesting payment approval for supplier invoices
- Work with the broader Finance team to monitor and enforce Procurement policy compliance.
- Assist in the continual review and development of improvements and efficiency
Additional
23. Ensure that all duties, checks and documentation are completed to the required level of accuracy.
24. Perform other duties, and provide general assistance to broader finance team, as may be requested from time to time, commensurate with the role holiday cover.
What You'll Bring:
25. Demonstrable knowledge and experience of using Sage, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
26. Excellent working knowledge of MS Office inc Outlook and Word and advanced skills in Excel
27. Knowledge and previous experience in an accounting role, with a practice background preferred
28. A professional qualification, ACCA, ACA or CIMA must be held
29. Understanding and demonstrable experience of procurement processes
30. High attention to detail and accurate analytical skills
31. Professional attitude and ability to work in a confidential manner
32. An organised approach, planning tasks and setting realistic timescales
33. Flexibility to be involved in a number of finance support activities at a time
34. Maintain strong working relationships with team members and other disciplines
35. Be a champion for Playground Games and everything we produce
