The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) for Avon and Somerset is looking to recruit a Senior Project, Evaluation and Insight Manager to work with us on the breadth of work undertaken by the Violence Reduction Partnership (VRP) Directorate of the OPCC. The role is based in Portishead, near Bristol, with hybrid working. Reporting to the VRP Director, this is a strategic and expert role within the Directorate, responsible for leading and implementing the VRP’s Strategic Priority around Evaluation and Insight. The main focus will be the design and development of an evaluation strategy as well leading on developing a culture of evidence to grow. The core responsibilities of this interesting and varied role are: Develop and implement an Evaluation Strategy which should drive a culture of evidencing impact and sustainability Lead and deliver on Avon and Somerset wide evaluations and manage any associated budget. Lead on the development of the VRP Strategic Needs Assessment (SNA) ensuring that a process is established to enable partners to contribute as appropriate and that they are clear on their responsibilities. Analyse, interpret, and present information at a senior level both internally and across partner organisations. Develop and maintain an Assurance Framework to inform the A & S Executive and Delivery Group to enable informed decision making. Take a Project Management approach to A & S VRP workstreams to ensure that activity and risk is appropriately managed. Maintain the Risk Register and ensure that the Risk Management process is managed and reviewed as required. Collaborate with internal and external, multiagency stakeholders and colleagues, maximising transfer of appropriate skills, acting as a catalyst for change and encouraging a culture of continuous improvement What we are looking for With a minimum of five years relevant experience at a senior level in a relevant specialist area, and with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, you will be the sort of person who works well to deadlines, calmly takes challenges one step at a time to deliver solutions and has a track record of developing excellent working relationships.
