We have an opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing business, backed by substantial investment and continual growth.
The role will be focussed on the day to day operations and delivering operational excellence.
With a commitment to continuous improvement, our client is seeking a dynamic Operations Director to lead the operations, drive efficiency, and deliver sustainable improvements across the business.
You will play a critical role in optimising processes, improving efficiencies, and reducing costs, while fostering a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement. This is a key leadership position with a direct impact on the future growth and success of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
* Oversee all aspects of day-to-day operations, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of production targets.
* Drive operational excellence through the implementation of Lean methodologies and Continuous Improvement (C.I) initiatives.
* Optimise processes to improve efficiencies and reduce costs across the manufacturing environment.
* Collaborate with supply chain, engineering, and H&S teams to ensure seamless operations and compliance with industry standards.
* Manage capital expenditure (CapEx) projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
* Implement robust operational strategies to support business growth and deliver against key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices.
About You:
You are an experienced and results-driven operations leader with a track record of driving operational excellence. With strong leadership skills and a passion for developing high-performing teams, you excel at optimising processes and delivering measurable improvements.
Experience:
* Proven leadership experience at Operations Director level (or equivalent) within a multi-faceted manufacturing business, similar to Bakery, Paper, Packaging.
* Strong knowledge of Lean methodologies and Continuous Improvement (C.I) practices.
* Broad understanding of supply chain, engineering, and health & safety.
* Demonstrated ability to deliver operational efficiencies and cost reduction initiatives.
* Strong leadership and coaching skills, with a focus on developing and empowering teams.
* Experience managing capital expenditure (CapEx) projects from initiation to delivery.
