Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a specialty doctor to join our established medical team within the Women's and Children centre based at The Princess Royal Hospital. This post will be for a 12 month fixed term position, covering Maternity Leave.The post would attract 10 PAs with a review of plan taking place 3-6 months after appointment, with the opportunity of working additional PA's. Main duties of the job Clinicalo To provide speciality doctor / Tier 2 support cover to acute General Paediatrics including wards, assessment unit and A&E across sites at Princess Royal hospital and Royal Shrewsbury hospital.o To provide support to General Paediatric Outpatient Clinics, reviewing new and follow-up patients.o General ward duties, including patient reviews and day to day assistance with management of the ward.o Provision of opinion and support as required by the A&E department.o To participate in tier 2 rota commitments including weekdays/weekends and nights as per rostered duties and supporting paediatric department and A&E across sites.o To develop enhanced clinical skills, especially in the assessment, management of acutely ill patients and chronic patients.
