Quantum Scholars, is working alongside a well-regarded secondary school in Luton, who are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Design Technology Teacher to join them from September 2025. This full-time, permanent position offers an exciting opportunity for a creative and passionate educator to help inspire the next generation of designers and innovators in a supportive and forward-thinking school environment.\n\nThe school hiring are based in Luton and are a mixed comprehensive secondary school. They are rated as a "Good" school by Ofsted.

The ideal candidate will have a right to work in the UK and have a significant amount of UK curriculum experience.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nDelivering high-quality, engaging Design Technology lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.\nPlanning and implementing a diverse range of practical and theory-based projects that inspire student creativity and problem-solving.\nContributing to the development, review, and enhancement of the Design Technology curriculum to meet the needs of students.\nMaintaining a positive and safe learning environment, effectively managing student behavior and fostering a culture of respect and inclusion.\nSupporting students in achieving their academic goals and personal development.\nCollaborating with colleagues across the school to ensure a holistic approach to student success.\nParticipating in departmental meetings, professional development opportunities, and school-wide activities.What We're Looking For:\n\nA qualified Design Technology Teacher (QTS preferred).\nSignificant teaching experience within the UK curriculum, with a strong understanding of Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Design Technology.\nThe right to work in the UK.\nProven ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons, both practically and theoretically.\nA passion for fostering student creativity, critical thinking, and technical skills.\nStrong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a positive, productive learning environment.\nA collaborative approach to working with colleagues, students, and parents.\nA commitment to the values of inclusivity and student-centered education.This is a full-time, permanent position ideal for a qualified and experienced Design Technology teacher looking to make a real impact within a school that values creative and innovative teaching.
