The Vacancy
Flex is seeking to hire Care and Support Workers for their new Hester Court Care Home which is opening on 1st June 2025.
Hester Court is a 75 unit extra care scheme located in the Upper and Lower Fosters Estate in Hendon. The 75 flats and communal areas are all wheelchair accessible, there are 63x 1-bed flats (8 of which are wheelchair adapted) and 12x 2-bed flats.
The successful candidate will be responsible for working with individuals and groups of people with special needs to support them to participate in and maintain everyday living skills including but not restricted to: personal care, including washing and dressing, toileting, nail and hair care, shopping, cooking, travel, including using public transport, household tasks activities and socialising.
To ensure that people who use Your Choice Barnet experience high quality care and support in accordance with their assessed needs.
What you'll need to succeed?
◾ Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
◾ Willingness and ability to achieve Level II NVQ (or equivalent) Health & Social Care
◾ Good aptitude, common sense, skills and abilities around working with people who have support needs
◾ Competent to carry out all the tasks required by the job description e.g. personal care, manual handing.
