Job Description
The global Cybersecurity assessments team delivers next generation application and infrastructure penetration testing. As a Penetration Tester part of the Cybersecurity Assessments arm of JP Morgan Chase, your role will be pivotal in protecting Chase Travel's business operations, client/employee data and the organization's intellectual property. As an in-house Penetration Testing professional you will demonstrate knowledge of Cybersecurity infrastructure and cloud principles.
As an experienced professional in our cybersecurity organization, you won't just be watching over our data - you'll be finding innovative new ways to protect it in the future.
To do that, you'll help lead a team focused on analyzing, designing, developing, and delivering solutions built to stop adversaries and strengthen our operations. You'll use your leadership skills to give guidance, advise on best practices and support our business and technology groups. As part of the team, your primary responsibility will be performing hands on penetration testing of some of Chase Travel's most critical applications, platforms, and the perimeter. You will work with application developers to not only understand root cause and mitigate vulnerabilities, but also to identify where vulnerabilities can be identified earlier in the SDLC.
Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate an eagerness to learn, the drive to excel, excellent technical knowledge of security concepts and proven expertise in penetration testing.
Job Responsibilities
1. Plan, scope, coordinate, and manage penetration tests from initiation to closure
2. Conduct in-depth manual penetration tests, identifying vulnerabilities in Web, API, Mobile Applications, Thick Clients, On-Prem and Cloud Infrastructures
3. Plan, create and execute penetration attack methods, scripts, and tests
4. Reporting on findings and vulnerabilities including presenting results to non-technical managers
5. Collaborate with application development teams to act as a Subject Matter Expert on appropriate remediation methods to fix or lower security risks
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
1. Manual penetration testing experience (beyond running automated tools) against a wide variety of applications including web, mobile and thick clients, internal and external facing infrastructures
2. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
3. Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity organization practices, operations, risk management processes, principles, architectural requirements, engineering and threats and vulnerabilities, including incident response methodologies
4. Ability to collaborate with high-performing Agile teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish goals
5. Ability to identify network attacks and systemic security issues as they relate to threats and vulnerabilities, with a focus on recommendations for enhancements or remediation.
6. Experience working in a public cloud environment (AWS)
7. Proficiency in security concepts for both Windows and Unix-like Operating Systems
8. Proficient in coding in one or more languages (e.g. Python, Bash, Java, C++, PowerShell...)
9. Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
10. Strong understanding of infrastructure/cloud architecture and security testing approaches. This will include using tools, manual testing, and various testing techniques.
11. Ability to independently conduct and lead security assessments
12. Ability to represent/convey information, both verbal/written to multiple organization levels
13. Ability to explain/convey technical vulnerabilities to technical/non-technical 3rd parties.
14. Understand complex computer systems and technical cyber security terms as well as their applications
15. Excellent report writing and presentation skills
16. Willingness to learn and drive to excel is a must

1. Certifications like CREST (CRT, CCT), OSCP, OSCE, GXPN, GRE
