The Practice Excellence team for Capability, Capacity and Practices within Digital Capability and Spaces (DCS) team is core to developing and building talent and capability in order to ensure DWP Digital has an effective and motivated workforce which continues to deliver valuable products to citizens. The team enables Digital to build capability by learning, hiring and working together. We want to create an inclusive, engaging and healthy environment across the whole of Digital, where high performing teams can flourish and individuals feel able to achieve their best.
You will be the key link between Functions and Practices, driving the delivery of Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) relating to capability, capacity, community and standards across the Digital Ecosystem.
You will use your excellent communication skills to influence and guide stakeholders at all levels with a key focus being the facilitation of high-level forums and strategic board meetings where the membership will be at the director and deputy director level. You will work closely with senior stakeholders providing advice, and influencing them and suggest courses of action to support the implementation of a capability development program.
You will be responsible for measuring, analysing and responding to performance metrics; and for creating regular and useful reports on the delivery of strategic objectives for capability, capacity and practices. You will be experienced in gathering and interpreting large volumes of data and will use your experience of the capability and capacity ecosystem to highlight issues, trends and outliers.
This role is a key leadership role across Digital. You will manage risks relating to the organisation’s ability to deliver required capability and capacity objectives and will escalate these where appropriate.
Your expertise in managing projects end to end, especially in organisational change, will mean that you are able to develop and deliver key initiatives for DWP Digital that will help create the best environment for meeting our ambitions. Projects may include organisational restructures; defining and developing plans and people focused strategies; staff engagement survey action planning; helping to monitor change adoption, reporting on change effectiveness, conducting lessons learned relating to change effectiveness.
You will develop networks across Digital, DWP and cross Government, to ensure that you are at the forefront of delivery excellence for building organisational capability, now and for the future.
