Role description: Our graduate GROW programme is a structured 3-year programme, designed to help you evolve and develop skills to become an experienced professional in your chosen field. You'll benefit from training and development, mentoring, and assistance for accreditations relevant to your programme, as well as the support and guidance you need to develop and succeed. As an engineer joining GROW, you will be given the opportunity to specialise within your chosen discipline of engineering and we ensure you obtain the appropriate experiences that you need to become a technical expert. Being an Engineer at Arcadis is about applying a human filter to all your technical expertise and training, and making an impact through innovation and creativity. During this three-year programme you will develop core engineering and consulting techniques that can be applied while working with our clients in the UK and potentially even some of our international clients around the globe. Role accountabilities: Arcadis have been at the forefront of geotechnical and ground engineering since our inception in the Netherlands as a land reclamation specialist in 1888. More recently our geotechnical teams are involved in some of the most high-profile projects being delivered today both in the UK and globally. These projects include High Speed 2, London Bridge Station, Lower Thames Crossing and Ontario Line underground improvements. We work across a variety of sectors including Rail, Highways, Water and Energy. You will assist in the delivery of foundation, retaining wall, ground improvement and earthworks designs as well as undertaking desk studies, specifying and scoping intrusive ground investigations, producing interpretive reports, geotechnical designs and recommendations for a variety of geotechnical design solutions. Our team use innovative digital tools for producing accurate ground models and for analysis of geotechnical problems and design development. Accepted degrees: BEng, BSc, MEng or MSc in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or related discipline Qualifications & Experience: You will be graduating in 2025 or have recently graduated with at least a 2:2 in a relevant master's or bachelor's degree You will demonstrate typical Arcadian skills including Resilience, Creativity, Analytical Thinking and being a Team Player You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to use your technical knowledge to influence and consult stakeholders.
