We are looking for an enthusiastic finance trainee to join the Trusts Finance Team, playing a key role in shaping what our service delivery looks like and making a difference in the challenging financial environment, both now and in the future.
The successful candidate will support Offender Health within the Trust’s Community & Specialist Services care Group and provide comprehensive financial advice and support managers to understand the efficiency and effectiveness of resources within their control. They will need to support the Finance Partners to deal with conflicting priorities and ensure that financial opportunities and risks are quantified and understood at all levels of the Trust, and optimum value for money is achieved.

They should have excellent communication skills and the necessary personal qualities to engage effectively with service managers and their teams. The applicant should currently be studying for their AAT qualification or equivalent. Continued reasonable progression toward professional qualification is encouraged in this role. Upon completion of AAT or equivalent, as well as meeting the requirements of the competency framework, the post holder would be uplifted from band 4 to band 5.

Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled worker visa.
Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.
