You will work as part of a highly skilled Engineering Division supporting all aspects of HV services to our clients and customers. As part of our team, you will get to both support your peers in the delivery of HV engineering & Maintenance.
Principal Accountabilities
Basic testing / Visual Inspections & some maintenance of HV LV equipment
Interpret electrical drawings and records.
Able to identify items of Electrical equipment.
Carry out basic mechanical remedial works using basic hand tools. Complete site inspection reports / assessments / collate information in connection with customer equipment.
Risk Assess site Installation’s safety and apply controls and safety measures as required.
Completing RAMS, job packs, test certificates and reports.
Facilitate a safe working environment during high / low voltage working.
Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the standards, policies and procedures of Ipsum Utilities and its customers.
Maintain authorisations in accordance with legislation / Industry best practice & our Ipsum safety procedures.
Liaise closely with team to understand and manage priorities.
Attend training and continuous development opportunities as required.
Qualifications
Experience in the Electrical and / or distribution Industry with evidence of some technical training.
Have, or previously held authorisations – Private Networks, UKPN, SSEN, WPD
Training - first aid, Manual Handling, Asbestos & Fire Safety
Knowledge & Experience
Good knowledge of H&S and its practical implications.
Computer literate – skilled in MS office
Full driver’s License, willingness to travel and work weekends as overtime.
Basic background & understanding of Electrical distribution systems.
Be able to obtain necessary security clearances for Key customer accounts.
