Your Tasks
* Ensure financial accounting processes are carried out in line with Group policies and procedures as well as Local GAAP.
* Identify and implement improvements in financial processes and controls to ensure the operation of a robust internal control environment.
* Assist in the preparation of financial reporting in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), for submission to the Group Consolidation department on an annual and half yearly basis for all UK companies.
* Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts for all legal entities in the UK on an annual basis, in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard 101.
* Assist in ensuring that returns and payments for corporation tax and VAT are accurately prepared, calculated and submitted on time.
* Support the Head of Financial Accounting and Plant Manager Finance / Admin with implementing tax strategies.
* Update fixed asset additions master data in SAP to reflect the tax classification as per the tax computations.
* Reconcile fixed asset register to general ledger on a monthly basis.
* Be a point of contact for project managers to assist in budget setting and budget management.
* Compile monthly investment budget reports for plant management and project managers.
* Assist with the preparation of the Direct Liquidity Reporting to Group Treasury on a monthly basis in line with their requirements.
Our Requirements
* Qualified / Part Qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / Other CCAB recognised Qualification)
* Proficient in using accounting packages (preferably SAP) and MS Office.
* Excellent understanding of VAT and Corporation Tax.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Organised and efficient approach to tasks.
* Ability to meet deadlines.
