Full-Time English Lecturer – Functional Skills & GCSE English Language Location: Walthamstow Start Date: ASAP We are currently seeking an experienced English Lecturer to join our team on a full-time basis, delivering Functional Skills English (Entry 2 to Level 2) and GCSE English Language courses. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to make an impact and support learners in achieving their academic goals. Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Functional Skills English (Entry 2 to Level 2) and GCSE English Language. Develop and implement lesson plans, ensuring they are tailored to meet the needs of a diverse group of learners. Provide support and guidance to students, ensuring progress and achievement within the curriculum. Prepare students for assessments and exams, with a focus on improving literacy, writing, and comprehension skills. Maintain accurate records of student progress and report on their development. Work collaboratively with colleagues and participate in departmental meetings, curriculum planning, and other staff activities. Ensure that students are supported with any additional needs or requirements, in line with the college's inclusive learning policies.Required Qualifications and Experience: Proven experience teaching Functional Skills English (Entry 2 to Level 2) and GCSE English Language. A relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent). Experience working with a diverse group of learners and understanding of their specific needs. Must have an enhanced DBS check in place. A passion for teaching and helping students to reach their full potential.Additional Requirements: Ability to work full-time and start ASAP. A strong understanding of the English curriculum, particularly in English Language (not ESOL). Excellent communication and organizational skills.
