Newly Weds Foods Ltd is looking to recruit a Lead Engineer to join the Engineering team at our site in Banbury.

Newly Weds Foods Banbury
The Banbury site has been part of the Newly Weds Foods family since 2010. During that time our employee team has grown, and we now employ over 250 people. We have a Bakery, Blend factory and a dedicated Gluten Free factory. We operate over a range of shifts in our production facilities, have on site services including a QA team, Engineers, Supply Chain, Logistics, Payroll and HR and we also have a dedicated on-site R&D team.
The Position
This role is to support the site Engineering Manager. You will lead technical tasks around site which will involve electrical and mechanical engineering.
The role will also include responsibility for the asset management system, carrying out of risk assessments, liaising with external contractors and ensuring that all permit-to-work documents are completed to the required standard. They will analyse breakdown information, control and improve the Engineering Stores function, lead and support on Projects, whilst adhering to the required Quality, Food Safety, Health and Safety and Company Policies.
What skills will you need?
* High volume manufacturing experience to include continuous processes and batch processes
* Significant experience of working with a maintenance background
* Experience in electrical and mechanical fault finding
* Planned maintenance systems and procedures development experience
* Analytical and detailed approach to problem solving
* Apprentice trained Electrical Engineer with Mechanical & Electronic / PLC skills
* Experience and knowledge of delivering CI activities.
* Proficient in use of MS Office Tools
* Experience of Supervising Technical Personnel and managing budgets.
* Numerical ability to record, interpret and analyse key process data
* Ability to understand advanced instruction on complex equipment
* Able to meet deadlines, deliver KPIs and successfully manage multiple projects
* Experience within DSEAR/COMPEX/ATEX would be desirable, but not essential as training will be given
* Experience in Plant Bakery and Food Blending Equipment (desirable)
* HNC or higher equivalent qualification (desirable)

Terms and conditions include:
Salary – Lead Engineer – £53,000-£58,500 (dependant on skills and experience)
Location – Newly Weds Foods, Banbury
Working hours / pattern – Monday to Friday, 8.30am-4.30pm with some flexibility to meet the needs of the business
